Bhaskarjit Sarmah leads Financial Services AI Research at Domyn, where he is pioneering the next generation of foundation guardian models, knowledge graphs, and agentic AI systems for the world’s most regulated industries. His work bridges the gap between frontier AI research and large-scale enterprise adoption, enabling financial institutions to build sovereign, transparent, and compliant AI capabilities they can fully own and govern.
At Domyn, Bhaskarjit spearheads research and product initiatives across model design, evaluation, deployment, and governance, from developing the Domyn Guard model to architecting FinReflectKG, one of the largest temporal financial knowledge graphs built from SEC 10-K filings. In parallel, he leads Domyn’s AI governance stack, including AI Sentinel, a policy-driven orchestration layer that unifies risk dashboards, evaluation harnesses, audit trails, model/data lineage, and EU AI Act-ready transparency. This governance framework operationalizes guardrails and red-teaming for hallucination, bias, leakage, drift, and safety across training, RAG, and production, ensuring that enterprise AI remains sovereign, compliant, and trustworthy end-to-end.
Before joining Domyn, Bhaskarjit spent over six years at BlackRock, where he led AI initiatives within the Risk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA) group. He founded and headed RQA AI Labs, building products and solutions with quantitative analytics to enhance risk oversight and decision intelligence for risk managers. His tenure at BlackRock cemented his expertise at the intersection of AI research, regulatory governance, and financial markets.
Bhaskarjit’s research has been featured at leading venues including NeurIPS and ACM ICAIF, and his papers on responsible AI in finance have been adopted as benchmarks by academic and industry partners alike. He has also led multiple hackathon winning teams across Microsoft Global Hackathon and UC Berkeley LLM Agents Hackathon
Recognized as one of the Top 5 Generative AI Leaders by Analytics Vidhya, Bhaskarjit was honored with the Luminary Award, for his contributions to advancing Generative AI education and research in India. He regularly speaks at IITs, IIMs, and international AI forums, and mentors researchers and practitioners through the Kaggle and Analytics Vidhya communities.
A strong advocate for ethical and explainable AI, Bhaskarjit champions Domyn’s vision of “AI you can own” - building technologies that empower enterprises to innovate safely within the boundaries of trust, regulation, and sovereignty. At the intersection of science, strategy, and societal impact, he continues to shape how AI transforms financial systems worldwide.
Martin Cimmino is the Head of AI Research at Domyn, where he leads the company’s efforts to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence and integrate cutting-edge models into products and platforms. In this role, he is responsible for shaping the research strategy, advancing the state of the art in machine learning, and enabling Domyn’s product ecosystem with models that combine efficiency, robustness, and real-world usability. By bridging the gap between academic research and practical application, he ensures that AI remains a core driver of innovation within the company’s technology stack.
Before joining Domyn, Martin built a career around designing, developing, and deploying machine learning systems that addressed complex business challenges. His work has spanned diverse industries, from media and marketing, where he developed data-driven solutions to enhance decision-making, to consulting, where he helped organizations pilot and scale AI applications across a wide range of use cases. These experiences shaped his approach to AI as both a science and an engineering discipline—grounded in research rigor but always directed toward measurable impact.
At Domyn, his focus is not only on research excellence but also on enabling AI to become a tangible, transformative component of the product experience. He leads cross-functional initiatives that bring together research scientists, engineers, and product teams to ensure models are not only state-of-the-art but also trusted, scalable, and aligned with customer needs. Recent initiatives have included large-scale model training and optimization, fine-tuning strategies for domain-specific performance, and reinforcement learning approaches to enhance reasoning and adaptability in AI systems.
Passionate about advancing the field, Martin believes in the responsibility that comes with building AI technologies and is committed to promoting transparency, fairness, and usability in every stage of development. His vision is to create models that don’t just perform in benchmarks but that also meaningfully enhance the way people interact with technology in everyday life.
Martin holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in computer science, where he focused on the intersections of machine learning, systems, and data-driven applications. Today, he continues to balance technical depth with leadership, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigor, and collaboration within Domyn’s research and engineering teams.
