Domyn Founder and CEO Uljan Sharka named in TIME100 AI 2026

Recognition as one of the 100 most influential people shaping AI worldwide follows Sharka’s work advancing sovereign AI, leading Europe’s frontier model program EUROPA, and building Europe’s largest supercomputer.

TIME’s annual list recognizes the 100 people shaping the future of AI worldwide, across business, technology, research and policy.

Sharka’s inclusion reflects Domyn’s position at the center of a shift in how organizations approach AI for their most critical operations: away from renting capability from external providers and toward owning and controlling the intelligence their businesses depend on.

Under Sharka’s leadership, Domyn has built AI systems for financial institutions, governments and industrial companies that run on their own infrastructure, use their own data and are designed around their specific business and regulatory requirements.

He has led deployments with major enterprises and institutions including BNY, Rabobank, Fincantieri and the Italian government.

That same vision is now playing out at a European level. In June 2026, the European Commission selected the Domyn-led EUROPA consortium to build a frontier-scale, open-source model designed to operate natively across all 24 official EU languages. Domyn is also building Colosseum, Europe’s largest supercomputer, in partnership with NVIDIA and G42.

Sharka founded Domyn in 2016. He is a World Economic Forum Global Innovator and serves on the advisory board of the AI Hub for Sustainable Development, co-led by the G7 Presidency and the United Nations.
