Milan, June 11th 2025 – Domyn, a company specializing in researching and developing Responsible AI for regulated industries — including financial services, government, and heavy industry — is collaborating with NVIDIA to develop and deploy next-generation sovereign large language models (LLMs), and build local AI infrastructure.

The initiative is backed by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) as part of the Government’s broader strategy to advance technological sovereignty, foster innovation, and reinforce national and European competitiveness in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Key areas of focus for the Domyn and NVIDIA collaboration are:

• Sovereign AI Infrastructure – Domyn plans to work with NVIDIA to develop and deploy sovereign AI compute capacity, with an initial anticipated deployment of nearly 6,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.
• AI Talent and Workforce Development – With a shared focus on education and access, Domyn and NVIDIA intend to support the training of students and faculty, as well as the upskilling and reskilling of the Italian workforce across industry, research, and the public sector.

The collaboration focuses on the development of local LLMs — advanced language models designed to meet sovereignty, data control, and compliance requirements across regulated markets.

Domyn will continue building its proprietary and domain-specific datasets to leverage models capable of deep reasoning, multi-agent orchestration, and deployment in mission-critical enterprise environments for Sovereign AI use cases. NVIDIA will provide access to its AI software stack and cloud-native technologies, including the NVIDIA NeMo framework, NeMo RL, NVIDIA TensorRT, NVIDIA NIM microservices, and the NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton platform. Sovereign or regional NVIDIA Cloud Partners (NCPs) are expected to support training and inference operations.
