Milan - July 16, 2025: Domyn has announced its intention to sign the General-Purpose AI Code of Practice, a voluntary framework developed under the EU AI Act, further reinforcing its commitment to delivering trustworthy, transparent, and responsible AI solutions.
The Code is designed to support providers of General-Purpose AI (GPAI) models in aligning with key obligations under the AI Act related to transparency, copyright compliance, as well as safety and security of the most advanced AI models. These principles are already embedded in Domyn’s approach to designing, deploying, and governing AI systems particularly in highly regulated industries such as financial services, government, and advanced manufacturing where trust and legal compliance are essential.
Developed by independent experts over months of intense collaboration, the Code draws on input from various stakeholders in the field of AI. In a process involving many stakeholders - with only a smaller group of providers - Domyn contributed a distinct and essential perspective: that of a specialized, agile innovator working toward global impact. Throughout all working sessions, Domyn engaged with fellow providers, academic institutions, independent experts, rightsholders, and civil society, and supported several proposals such as the call for simplified compliance pathways for SMEs, which was reinforced in the final text. For example, SMEs and SMCs may reduce detail in their Model Reports as necessary, to account for their size and capacity limitations, assign oversight of systemic risk management processes to an individual supervisor rather than a committee, and seek support from the AI Office to help meet certain measures. This outcome confirms that more specialized players not only have a voice in shaping responsible AI, but are essential to its future.
Domyn’s commitment to respecting the Code’s principles aligns with its broader engagement in global AI governance. As one of the 17 organizations in the task force supporting the G7 Hiroshima AI Process Reporting Framework – developed with the OECD – Domyn contributed expertise in AI risk management and responsible innovation. This input helped shape a practical and transparent reporting structure under this Framework.
A reinforced vision for Composite AI
These two initiatives reflect Domyn’s broader vision for Composite AI —a modular and collaborative approach that brings together diverse, specialized capabilities to build flexible, context-aware solutions. These governance efforts directly reinforce Domyn’s belief that technical excellence must be matched by robust oversight, explainability, and societal impact. For the World Economic Forum, Domyn CEO Uljan Sharka said: “Establishing global ethical and regulatory frameworks for AI ensures transparency, fairness and sustainability, empowering diverse communities and fostering equitable innovation worldwide.”
The decision to sign the General-Purpose AI Code of Practice marks a natural step in Domyn’s vision for AI development that prioritizes safety, transparency and societal benefit. Domyn remains dedicated to working with the community to refine and strengthen guidelines that give greater definition to compliance across the field of AI.
